I played an integral part in researching human interest stories across the US for the nationally syndicated daytime show hosted by Meredith Vieira. 

  • Produced, wrote, directed and oversaw the edit of field pieces with a focus on lifestyle, pop culture and comedy.

The Dr. Oz Show (June 2012 – May 2014)

Field Producer/Shooter/Story Producer

Starting out as an associate producer, I spent my first year instituting new guidelines to improve the quality of user-generated video content incorporated into field pieces. Once I was promoted to field producer, I handled all aspects of field production including scouting locations, research, working with talent, producing, writing, directing and overseeing the edits. 

  • I won a daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative (Season 4).

  • Managed acquisitions, budgets, and overall business plan.

  • Hired and managed a production crew.

  • Executive Producer for multiple web series including a finalist for the 2009 NATPE NextTV Competition.

Branded Entertainment Integration Coordinator/Executive Assistant to the President of Ad Sales

My interest in scripted television and my ability to write creatively helped propel me from basic executive assistant duties to development opportunities during my five years with the company. 

  • Presented summaries of demographics and integration possibilities based on SPT’s Digital and TV development slate.

  • Pitched concepts and integration plans to Senior Vice President of Branded Entertainment, as well as key clients.

  • Researched brand integration initiatives throughout the industry.

  • Created web series concepts based around the brand’s message for distribution on Crackle.com and its syndication partners.

  • Acted as project manager for integration deals.
